Iranian Research Institute for Information Science and Technology (IRANDOC) is an Iranian research center with a national mission to meet the country's needs in the field of information science and technology. The institute was established in 1968 as a governmental organization known as the Iranian Documentation Centre to "bring modern information to scientists and professors". In 1982, IRANDOC became part of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Iran. Since 2009, this organization has continued its activities under its current title and plays a role as a national research center in the field of information science and technology. IRANDOC's mission is to develop science and technology information management, education, research collaborations in information sciences and technology, and support for science and technology policymaking. IRANDOC has three research centers:
